Ah, are there occasions when the deposits leave deposits on the
diverter (black thing with spout) ? Is much practice required before
one becomes proficient at hitting the opening?
I can't believe I'm asking these questions.
I guess a lot depends on the position of the depositor. Since the stirrer
is mounted in the center of the bucket that impacts the available area for the opening.
The advantage of a horizontal stirrer is that the whole top of the bucket is available
to receive deposits but the mechanical coupling to the crank handle
is a bit more complex if one has an outer shell and an internal bucket.
Well, I've never hit anything but open air, and there wasn't any learning curve. I just plop down on it like I would any other toilet; if I land on the toilet seat I'm in the right place.
Keep in mind that the toilet seat sets directly on the C-Head's top, so one's back end is practically hanging through the opening. Makes it hard to miss... In fact I'm not sure you could if you tried, unless you started squatting above it instead of sitting down.
People are always talking about the Good Old Days. But I was there, and I wasn't impressed.
