Re: I'm still alive...

While you may physically be alone on the boat, you have all of us cheering for you, and jealous of your journey. God speed, and fair winds.

Those of us landlocked are wishing we were you!

Re: I'm still alive...

Gary, Belated Happy Birthday, and best wishes for an enjoyable adventure.

Yesterday we had a reunioun with old friends. He is 71, and I was just apalled by his physical and mental deterioration. Just proves the old advice, do it while you can.

By our weather reports you have had more heavy weather. Hope you have good anchoring gear or found safe harbor.

I would be interested to hear more about the "lonely" feelings.

Send pics.

Re: I'm still alive...

Has anyone heard from Gary lately? Hurricane Sandy has surely been on his mind lately as he heads south along the coast. Hope he is holed up somewhere by now, somewhere with internet availability.

Re: I'm still alive...

Just spoke to Gary. He's in Charleston in a marina to wait out the storm. Limited cell service and no wifi. He's going to post his experiences singlehanding the ICW when he gets a chance. He says it wasn't easy.

He still sounds good. I'll be calling him periodically until this passes.
