Delivery or road transport

I intend to do the Capetown to Rio race in Jan 2014. From there I want to get her to the Caribbean. I am looking for suggestions. I could do a road transport, a sailing delivery( how safe is that area of the world) ( She is 52 ft x 16 ft. 12000kg loaded. ) a third alternative is sea freight.
Looking for suggestions and information. Regards Rob

Hi Rob,

I would recommend a delivery by sea. The route from Rio to the Caribbean is fairly straightforward and is safe.

Good luck with the race!

Pete

I'm in Barbados and several cruisers come up from Brazil with stops along the way including Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad....

Good luck!
