If you don't sail...you're a freakin' moron.

What I've learned...

Hearing, feeling your boat pushing through waves with no other sound but those waves.

Understanding that, if you do it right, you can travel around the entire earth - with nothing more than those sails, your smarts, and your determination.

Feeling the familiar rush of exhileration when you see the dolphins playing in your wake...and knowing that will never, ever grow old.

Moving through the stars...above and below.

Reveling in the sense of freedom, power, and exhileration that comes with the biggest adventure you can possibly imbibe.

Beating back that gnawing knowledge that it's just a matter of time before...

++++++++

Sailing is the most precious, most liberating thing on this planet. Period.

If you don't understand that. Sail.

If you don't sail well. Sail.

If you don't sail. Sail.

It's simple.

(What's your take?)

A brass plague above my desk reads

"God does not deduct from our allotted life-span the time spent sailing."

You put into words what I never could when trying to explain why sailing was in my blood. It truly makes you feel alive.

Little River Inlet S.C. Wanted to practice my heavy wind skills in the inlet yesterday October 28, 25 to 35 knots with higher gusts. I reefed in the ICW. When I got to the jettys ocean was flat. Had to go... It was great, wore me out

I see you haven't lost your knack for inflammatory titles/subjects.

Hope you have plenty of BFS's and a couple white knuckle days, then you'll yearn for for those 12kt days of peaceful quiet sailing

Are you sure you are not missing nothing? It should not be like this?:

If you don't sail fast ...you're a freakin' moron.

Hearing, feeling your boat pushing through waves...Feeling the familiar rush of exhileration ..Reveling in the sense of freedom, power, ...If you don't understand that. Sail a fast boat

Heh-heh, I do love the fast PCP. Absolutely.

And Chuckles - I also love the BFS whiteknuckling.

As long as I'm sailing - it's all good.

Re: If you don't sail...you're a freakin' moron.

white knuckles and BFS is fine on someone else's boat - not mine as it doubles as a home.

I don't take RV's off roading, and I don't take cruising boats white knuckling
