Bad park job

Don't blame me! I didn't do it! I wasn't even on the boat when it happened!

Re: Bad park job

What's bad about it? After the nice day at the beach, at least he is bow out with his anchor set too, and doesn't have to back off.

He tried getting back in the water himself but ended up having to be pulled off and towed from the Bahamas to Ft. Lauderdale. The rudder was too badly damaged. That ended my dad's liveaboard days. After they bought a house, his wife bought a handheld VHF and told him that's how he can reach her when he's on the boat.

Error? Anchoring off an island with 100 miles of open ocean behind you.
