Re: Windy day on the Chesapeake
We were also out on Sunday. However, we opted for a sail up the Severn instead of heading out on the Bay. With the NE wind, it was a starboard close reach (mostly) up to the far side of Round Bay, tack, and then a port broad reach (mostly) back to Annapolis. This is the best time of year to make that trip with so few power boats out...also, still a little color along the shore.
We were also warmed by hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps (topped with whipped cream) on our sail. Just the thing for a leisurely late fall sail.
