I was just out sailing in New York bay today, and I saw a sailboat up on the beach still in Staten Island. The true damage wreaked by this storm is becoming apparent. I never expected something like this in jersey, but I guess we better get used to this new normal... |

If you're heading south I'd bypass NJ inlets until you get to Cape May if at all possible.

One can only imagine what's in the water after that storm. I'm sure considerable care needs to be taken especially in shallow areas where the topography has certainly changed...
