There are a few magic moments in the winter on the water in seattle, last saturday was one of them and i enjoyed a blissful and painted afternoon on puget sound. What a difference with the rum run weather we had the week before.

Those sure are beautiful waters. My wife's family is in Bellingham, and we lived there for 3 years, and sometimes get the itch to move back. The dreary drizzly days do get to you, though make days like that all the more enjoyable. We were out first week of October this year and enjoyed one of the nicest stretches of weather I think we've ever had there.

Agree about the pacific northwest; sometimes we're really spoiled here and can do some real decent skiing on day and sailing the next. Very few places like this in the world ;-)
