I was given a tour on her back in 1963 or 4 when a friend was based on her. Two years ago our son was based on her. Do any of you know how many "Enterprises" the Navy has had?

I believe 8 ships have carried that name.

I hope she goes off somewhere to become a piece of history in the form of a floating museum.

It would be nice to keep her as a museum but I was told she will be cut up primarily to get the nuclear power plant out.

There were 6 Big E,s soon to be 7. The CVN80 is to be renamed.

She used to be in front of us usually when I was on the Coral Sea. Both ships had a great history and sorry to see her go.

I meant parked at the pier in front of us and that was from 85-87 that I am talking about.
