Storm Warning

Looks like we'll be getting our first major winter storm here on the Great Lakes in the next couple of days. Time to get off the water and dust off the tripod!

Here's a photo I took on Lake Michigan a few years ago during a similar forecast:

Here's what the National Weather Service is predicting:

THIS STORM WARNING IS IN
EFFECT FROM 1 PM THURSDAY TO 4 PM CST FRIDAY. THE STORM WATCH IS
NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* WINDS...NORTH TO NORTHWEST STORM FORCE TO 55 KT.

* SIGNIFICANT WAVES...TO 25 FT.

* OCCASIONAL WAVES...TO 33 FT.

No, I can't take credit for it. I stole it off the internet.
Thanks.

Re: Storm Warning

Down here in Texas we suffer through the hot summers and enjoy very mild (for the most part) winters. You guys up north enjoy nice summers (for the most part) and suffer unmercifully in winter.

Oh...I'm going sailing sunday. Forecast is mostly sunny, 70F and winds 10 out of the south. ;-)
