Oops. You're right. Not a local and got confused when I read McGarvey's above, where I've also been. I edited.

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Actually...

I am not sure if you have posted in the "available for boat buying help" thread, but I am looking at buying a boat in Annapolis. I live in Vermont, so can't check it out very easily. Ay chance you could help out?

Pm me if interested.....

Ouch...... Still, I will eat there but will suggest others heed your advice. First went there with my grandfather as a little tyke so it has more sentimental value & character to me than the quality of the food... It has largely remained unchanged since I was a kid and I find that pretty cool in today's world...

Ditto on Bacon...a fun place to poke around. One of our faves is also the Boatyard Bar & Grill in Eastport. Full of happy sailors, and their crabcakes are killer!!!

Re: what to do in annapolis

We eat at the Chop House for really special events. It's a steak house over near Whole Foods (Forest Dr and Solomon's Island Road). Reservations recommended.

I can't decide if I like it or Keen's (Manhattan) better, but this one is much closer to where we live so that's where we go. Not cheap by any means but the prices are on par with other steakhouses.

Re: what to do in annapolis

Go to Chick & Ruth's. Maybe try their 6 lb milkshake or crab cakes, or just hang out for their happy hour that starts at 5.
