That was some quick thinking.

A few years ago I saw Towboat US and Seatow working together to try to save a Chesapeake Deadrise workboat that had caught fire. They used dewatering pumps to konck the flames down some but couldn't get the fire all the way out. In another instance of thinking outside the box, they got the boat in tow and ran towards the beach at high speed, before casting it off to coast aground near shore where land based firefighters were able to extingush the fire. It was still probably a complete loss but at least it stayed on top of the water to ease salvage.

Nice! A waverunner or small jet boat would have had the fire out on the first pass, though...
