Education Abroad

Hello,
I am a 16 year old New York, High School Student. My knoledge of sailing has extended back four years ago when I was 12. Since then I have dreamed about, but never thought it was possible to enroll in a high school sailing school, education abroad. I have found a school, but they seem to be very...canadian, and I do not wish to sail under such a proud figure(also being that iam an american is another factor).
Overall, i am just looking for more options because this is a very important step in my life - also considering that these schools have great academic records.
