Nautical/Signal Flags for Hurricane

Not a sailor here so need some help from the sailing community please....

Was wondering if I were to make a product with nautical flags showing the symbol for a Hurricane is it appropriate enough to show the flags side by side or are these flags always displayed vertically in order to have the appropriate meaning?

Re: Nautical/Signal Flags for Hurricane

The Hurricane flag is not part of the International Code of Signals so I would doubt if anyone would be bent out of shape if the flags were shown side by side. The reason that they are vertical is that they normally fly on the same flag hoist.

Warning Signals

Worse case your product will cause some lively discussion and most publicity is good.
