Hand sucks. It is getting better, but very slowly. Will be weeks more before I use it. I don't do sitting around well at all.

According to our plan, by now, we should be halfway from Cape Town to St Helena, well in the trades.

Re: Nor'easter

Just got back in from an afternoon of sledding. Hot cocoa for the kids and warm alcoholic drinks in thermos bottles for the adults.... Fun stuff... Kids could have stayed out there for a few more hours....

My commercial fisherman customer made it back late yesterday so no worries there.....

Re: Nor'easter

That's the way to make the winter fun while waiting for spring. Glad to hear your friend made port. Wish I was in Portland Sun.

Small world....

Well, we're clocking 25 - 35 mph winds, from the ENE right now.
The boat looks like it is frosted. I should get some good pictures of her tomorrow.

Re: Nor'easter

People seem to forget what winter is. We are New Englanders for Christ Sake. The Governor of Massachusetts gave a press conference from a MEMA Bunker in Framingham issuing an executive order that there is not driving after 4:00 PM. What if I run out of Makers Mark? I think a lot of it is driven by the hungry news machine.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Then again; i watch the news and see catastrophic accidents when they have 3 inches of snow in Tennessee.
I guess i'm used to it.

I'd like to be in the BVI too.
It also depends on the equipment you have to deal with it. I was in Dallas one year and they had 4 inches of snow and ice. It was a mess, they had town pick up trucks backing up with guys in the back with shovels pitching out salt. It was days before the roads were cleared. Now here in the Mid Hudson it will disrupt us for a day, and that is it. I do get sick of the news media hyping everything as an emergency.

Minne, great news. Enjoy! I'll be digging out in the morning and then probably again in the afternoon. Lucky me.
