Re: Nor'easter

They've been hyping the hell out of the storm in Philly. We're right over the bridge in Jersey.

It's awful here. Absolutely brutal. We've gone into full on survival mode. There's a whole INCH of snow on the ground!!!!!

Thank GOD we're prepared. We've dipped into our emergency supplies. We have at least a year's worth of Spam and Dinty Moore stocked up just in case the government, or the aliens, or the Mayans or them dangerous Canadiens attack.

We just broke out the AR-15's and strapped the wireless camera to the dog and sent her out to scout the perimeter. We expect the looting to start any time now.

I've got my coffee and I'm glued to the Weather Channel.

Thank God they picked a really scary name for the storm so people take it seriously. After all who isn't struck with fear when they think of this?

Oh, and for the humor impaired this is called sarcasm.

Hope everyone in New England has a good weekend and the storm isn't too much of a pain in the butt.

Re: Nor'easter

Made it through the night. Lots of snow here. 29 inches as of 8am. Cover held up well.

A friend tried to get in his boat at 2am and went into the water. Luckily the dock crew came by about 15 minutes later and hauled him out. He is fine. Wife is ready to sink the boat.

Re: Nor'easter

Save the sarcasm.
We have over 30" here. Can't open any doors to get out. Will have to go thru a window to get to the garage to start the clean up.

Re: Nor'easter

The GF has been looking through the cabin window for hours now with a worried look on her face. If it gets any worse I may have to consider letting her in

Re: Nor'easter

Went out about 1am last night to rescue some beer that was chilling in the trunk of my car. Only about 8" but still snowing and windy but my trunk was frozen shut. Had to return home to the supplies I had on hand. By 4am the skies had cleared but not before perhaps 10" hit the ground. I'll be damned if they did not send at least 10 snow plows down my street in the middle of the night. Mike Bloomberg takes his snow storms seriously.
This morning with the sun shining and the streets are cleared. By this afternoon I should be able to open the trunk of my car, I hope.
Hope all of you further north and east still have power, heat and beverages. 30" of snow in one night is a fairly respectable snowfall.
