Sailing Checklists

On our boat we have a pre-sail and post-sail checklist. We move onto the boat in April for extended cruising and I figure our checklists need to change a little.

I am a big fan of checklists. It is easy to forget the most basic things when under stress and forgetting basic things can lead to dangerous problems. Checklists make my sailing safer.

Does anybody have any sailing checklists they want to share?

Re: Sailing Checklists

Hi Shane.

There are quite a few threads on checklists. Here's the first one on the list that a Google search returned. There are more.

Anyone use a checklist

Here's a thread that I started about checklists for guests:

Checklists for Guests

Hope that helps get you started.

Donna

Yep... Pretty much all cruisers (even us young ones) use check list. The more anal use daily ampere usage too. <--- Me

I think we are going to be youngish cruisers too - ages 3, 30, 38 and 41.
