Freedom 30

I am currently in the market for 30-33 ft sloop to sail in Buzzards Bay, Ma. I am trying to stay in the mid to late 1980's to early 90's. Budget around 25k. I have been looking at Odays, Pearson, Catalina.I am also considering Freedom 30, but don't know a lot about them. If anyone can fill me in on how they will handle the bay, salability, and the whole CF mast, I would appreciate it. I understand that they are a well made boat. Thanks,

Freedom 30

Try freedomyachts.org

I love my 38 on Buzzards Bay. Have no experience with the 30.

Good luck.

Re: Freedom 30

The Freedom owners that I've talked to have loved them. I was looking at a Freedom 28 when I bought my Pearson 28-2, and liked it but the interior layout didn't work out as well for me (the mast in the middle of the v-berth and the reduced headroom were both issues). I didn't look at a Freedom 30 and don't know how that compares.

These boats do have cored hulls, so a good survey would be well advised.

It's pretty easy to find sailing reviews of the Freedom boats and overall reports are quite good.
