Stolen Orange Portland Pudgy in Portland, Oregon

Stolen from Hayden Bay marina. Cable lock gone too, sometime within the past month.

This Portland Pudgy was a "one off" I purchased at a discount in Seattle in 2006. I can identify it by work done to it only by me, as it was not assembled and did not come with all of the usual accessories or components. There is no name or registration number, and no portland pudgy badging. Inside are items I can describe.

FWIW, my 10 year old son has finished reading the Swallows and Amazons series this Winter and was DYING to get the sail kit. We ordered it 2 weeks ago, with him doing all the talking to David on the phone. When we went down the dock yesterday he was absolutely heartbroken.

If you are in the Pacific NW and EVER see an orange pudgy (they are fairly rare) PLEASE inform me. Be suspicious.

Thanks SailNet!

1. Harbormaster investigating
2. Sheriff knows of no other suspicious activity at the marina.
3. Police report completed.
4. Anyone out there PM me if you need some info about what might help identify her specifically.
5. Anyone aware of other active internet groups in the pacific NW? The All Catalina Columbia River group is defunct it appears. 48North has no internet forums.

Until you post enough, you won't be able to send or receive PMs. If you don't want to post an email address, you'll have to return to the forum to check posted replies.

Best of luck with finding your Pudgy. I like saying the name.

Donna

Re: Stolen Orange Portland Pudgy in Portland, Oregon

That sucks. If you haven't already, you might consider posting up a notice in the laundry rooms of nearby marinas with a photo.

Those get a lot of reads(laundry is boring) and not much happens at docks without liveaboards seeing it.
