Re: Crappy Weather?

Just imagine how cold it would be if it was not for global warming...

Re: Crappy Weather?

Benesailor I left up-state NY with the hopes of never seeing snow again or temps under 65*.

Its been getting down to mid to high 30's here in SC. time to cook some ground hog.

My bad.

I'm really, really ready for a change. I want to get back into bicycle commuting, but it's just too cold for me in the mornings.

I have, however, been spending most weekends on the boat, all during the winter, and never seem to feel very cold down there, waking up on the boat to 28 degree mornings.

Re: Crappy Weather?

Some of you guys a skirts! I am heading to northern NY Monday night for 2 days for some R&R on my snowmobile. Just finally getting it out for this season too, strange I know considering winter is practically over. I just haven't been able to ride until now.

Don't worry warm weather lovers, summer will be upon us before you know it!

Re: Crappy Weather?

The models of climate change predicted fewer storms but more severe and more extreme weather. So far they're right. Daughter's financee loss their house in Far Rockaway to Sandy. Multiple houses lost to last "minor" storm going through Plum Island. Tree damage in my neck of the woods is just terrible. More days without power than I can ever remember. Had snow here yesterday. Oh well....they say the valleys make the hills higher. Summer will probably be brutal making the boat all the sweeter.

Re: Crappy Weather?

Spring is teasing us here too. Lots of wind, lots of rain. then this morning it snowed hard for a few hours, then the sun came out, the snow went away and it got up to 10deg C, with a beautiful stiff westerly. At the same time, there was a fresh dump of powder on the 3 local skiing mountains, and I have a season pass begging to get used! Unfortunately our family is down with Flu, colds, and laryngitis.

Came home from my hockey game tonight to find 3 deer in the yard eating the wifes spring flowers. Well, 2 were eating, the male was trying to get some action! I guess that means it's spring!

Re: Crappy Weather?

Kivalo, you got your wish. It snowed again last night; Again. The tug hill is prime for snowmobiling right now. Better get while you can! It will be gone in 3 weeks.
I had actually planned to be doing some work on the boat this weekend. Not. Global warming my butt.
