I agree, SEMANTICS.

Like everyone said, use your boat any which way you feel good about.

To me, The word voyaging implies long term, While cruising is something that can be accomplished in a few weeks.
Maybe it has something to do with how much of your life you dedicate to being aboard, and sailing the boat, compared to life ashore...

jeje cool thread

to me voyaging is like what motissier did...long passages with little need or want to stop and relax

cruising encompasses all from point a to b trips and in whatever form...

for example I would define a voyage as going from california to australia with maybe only a stop to refuel and provision

whereas that same route cruising would do the south pacific, tuamotos, atolls, head up to fiji, then back down etc...

I would consider a delivery for example a voyage, thats just me though

I also think it is semantics but if you want to get down to it you can find differences in the two
