I wish I could bring the East coat lady and me to the event. It would be quite the trip from Beaufort SC. maybe one year after I retire.

Re: 2013 NorthEast C&C Rendezvous

We made the news!

Checking In... July 2013

"C&C Rendezvous is September 6 - 8

All owners of C&C yachts are invited to attend the 2nd Annual NorthEast C&C Rendezvous, which will be held on the weekend of September 6 - 8 at the Block Island Boat Basin on Great Salt Pond in Block Island, RI.

“Sixteen C&C yachts and over 60 people attended last year’s NorthEast C&C Rendezvous at Mystic Seaport, and this September we hope to be bigger and better,” said organizer Rob Gallagher of Pawcatuck, CT, who owns Hanuman, a 1988 C&C 30 MkII. “We are generating revenue for the Block Island Historical Museum as well as raising funds for the cncphotoalbum.com and the Maritime Museum in Ontario that houses all of the original C&C plans…rumor has it that a new C&C 101 might be attending, but that is not firm yet.”

Activities include an informal shoreside gathering (BYOB) on Friday at 5 pm, “Sailing Tomfoolery” beginning at noon Saturday (with a contest and prizes to be announced), a guided tour of the Block Island Historical Museum (5 - 6 pm Saturday), a discussion led by Rob Ball, N.A., the designer of several C&C models (6 pm Saturday), an informal gathering at The Oar (8 pm Saturday), and a kayak tour of Great Salt Pond and connected tidal pools led by Pond and Beyond Kayak Tours (11 am - 1:30 pm Sunday). Re: 2013 NorthEast C&C Rendezvous

Bump...

So far we have 16 boats and about 30 people confirmed. I know there are more of you procrastinators waiting for a shove!

We need to get accurate head counts for the Block Island Historical Society so they know how many volunteers will be needed to staff next Saturday night at the museum.

Hey, "night at the museum" that should be a movie title
