Re: Anchor failure and use of a handgun result in loss of cruising yacht...

I was imagining it already... some guy loses anchor and uses his super heavy .50 cal S&W instead (best protection money can buy, right?) but his new anchor still drags and his yacht smashes into bits on the rocks on shore...

Sex and sailing naked seem to get quite a few views and comments. Maybe you should have worked those into the subject line.

Getting 300 Watts from a solar panel with a special mount used to work around here...
And then there was Sailing with pit bulls...

Anchor failure because of SolarStik resulted in the use of a handgun on a pitbull on the Bounty, causing the loss of $500K cruising yacht..

Ya, das a gude one!

I thought about posting another "I want to circumnavigate the globe in a McGregor 19 with no experience" thread, but those are too common and don't get the traffic they once did.

Could have been a legitimate headline from "Downeast Maine"! "Cruising yacht" has a much broader definition down here, Deah!

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Probably won't be that long before the headline becomes true somewhere.

Yah! He shot the boat for dragging anchor and it sunk.

The best keel for your sailboat?? The one that keeps your mast pointing to the stars.
