I figured it had the three best elements of a Sailnet thread:

1: Loss of a Yacht. Man we eat that stuff UP!.
2: Anchor. I still can't resist reading every anchor thread.
3: Guns. Don't usually read them, but most do.

you needed to add something about taxes or some regulation they want to put on boats.. then it would have been a perfect storm

I solder my connections and use wire nuts, but only for critical applications below the waterline and aloft above the 3rd spreaders.
