OutBoard Motor Bracket for Peason 424

Looking for ideas on placement of an outboard motor bracket for a Pearson 424. The stern rail if too low in height to handle a standard braket.
Any ideas?

Is it safe to assume the bracket fits, but the motor''s lower unit doesn''t clear the top of the cockpit? If this is the case I would get a piece of plastic cut to create a wedge and epoxy it to the bracket to create a tilt which would cause the lower to clear the fiberglass.
