SEQUITUR - The Book

I have just approved the proof copy of my new book: "SEQUITUR - to Cape Horn in Comfort and Style". It has now been listed for pre-order on Amazon at:
Click on the image below, not on the text.

Sequitur - to Cape Horn in Comfort and Style: Michael Walsh: 9780991955602: Amazon.com: Books Sequitur - to Cape Horn in Comfort and Style: Michael Walsh: 9780991955602: Amazon.com: Books

It is a rather hefty tome at 680 pages, 315,000 words and over 2400 colour photos, charts and maps in an 8.5 by 11 format.

I'm working at getting a Look Inside feature up and running.

Re: SEQUITUR - The Book

That's pretty neat. Wishing you the best with it. I may get a copy, when available.

Is it a collection of your posts from the blog, or is it written from scratch?

p.s. Hunter should pay you royalties.

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Awesome Michael. Congrats on putting that together!

And Minne's right - Hunter should be all over this.

Will it be available in audible.com in the future? They are part of Amazon now.

I hope there are recipes along with the adventures! Oh, and wine suggestions to go with.

Very cool that you are published!

I agree; the price is high. However, it is rather difficult to produce and sell 680-page colour-illustrated book for anything less without losing money. I have trimmed the cost to the bone and I assure you that this is not a money-making venture. The 315,000 word content is the equivalent of eight or ten standard novels and the adventures described and illustrated are priceless.

The storyline is based on the blog, most of which I have reorganised and rewritten. There is much additional material, and I created dozens of new maps to lace the whole thing together. There are 2442 colour photos selected and edited from the nearly 300,000 photos we shot along the way.
