Re: Nice little tub

I should have asked the guy if he had granite counter-tops. I bet it does.

Re: Nice little tub

Too much overhang. How does it sail compared to oh, lets say.. a Farr 37?

Re: Nice little tub

That's a lot of scraping and a lot of bottom paint.

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Considering the waterline length looks to be in the neighborhood of 80 feet, I think you can be confident her performance is satisfactory. Now, about the wet bar and barmaids.......

Re: Nice little tub

Too much bother - think of all the servant problems.

I, myself, personally intend to continue being outspoken and opinionated, intolerant of all fanatics, fools and ignoramuses, deeply suspicious of all those who have "found the answer" and on my bad days, downright rude.

Re: Nice little tub

I just had to go down and look at this thing.
She is called the Adela. First lauched in 1903. She is 181 feet long, has rod rigging and a fin keel. She was refitted in 2003 with every concievable modern option available. She is on her way to Alaska from the BVI. She will be in Alaska for a couple of months and then return to the BVI.
She is owned by George Lindemann, president and ceo of Southern Union Pipeline.

No screaming.

Re: Nice little tub

Hard on the wind, she is absolutely stunning. This is what a modern schooner should look like. Hmmm...wonder if he's d be interested in trading boats...??

She must have been the one I saw in St. Thomas just a few months ago.

That vessel is absolutely beautiful.
