5500 Lbs VS 3200 - a 72% bigger boat AND a diesel inboard - that's a very nice bump.

C&C 27's are very big 27 footers.

That orange gelcoat should wet sand & polish up very nicely (next fall).

Re: The two happiest days

I just realized something - if you got five bucks more than asking for Tangerine, you must be into this boat pretty nearly straight across.

Low hours Yannie, nearly twice the boat.... well done my man.

Re: The two happiest days

I was sad to sell my last boat but I'm very happy with my new boat so I call b*llsh*t on the saying, at least for sailboats owned by people who sail.

You'll enjoy those extra three feet, especially down below. And she's very pretty so I think you'll recover fast!

I'll get over it. Kinda like dating your girlfriends big sister on the rebound lol. Basically a straight swap. Bargain.

Re: The two happiest days

Love those C&C lines (and quite partial to orange, for other reasons). Congrats!

Re: The two happiest days

Congrats Paul, sounds like a nice boat. The 3.5' between my Catalina 25 and Pearson 28-2 were massive, I expect that the jump from the C&C 24 to C&C 27 will be similarly nice.

I also had a quick transition between my two boats. I'm lucky to still sail on my old boat a lot (I'm good friends with the new owner and it lives in different water than my boat, so I have lots of excuses to sail on both).

Re: The two happiest days

Delivered Tangerine to her new owner today, beautiful sail all the way, tiller tied off for 30 minutes at a time, Tangerine mostly looking after herself, virtually never under 5kts. Spectacular sail, but a bit sad at the end when I pulled her sails down for the last time and slipped gently into Oak Bay.
