Don't think you're important? Think again mates!

There are people out there who WANT YOU!

Yesterday morning at 10 am I added an enhancement to the forum to 'block' anyone who completed the registration screen in 10 seconds or less.

A Human being cannot possiblY complete the screen in less than 11 seconds - it's impossible.

However a SpamBot can and they do - my stats show than a spambot often does it in 1 to 2 seconds and then they post spam that the moderators have to delete and then the moderators have to ban them.

We've always had an interface that checks a new members username, email address and ip address against a database of known spammers and they would get blocked - but this add-on heads them off first and oh yes - then it redirects to the Getalife.com LOL

by the way - between 10:22 am on 5/16/13 and 9 am on 5/17/13 we blocked 94 spambots from registering here and possibly exposing you to their great deals on Cell Phones, Viagra etc...LOL

Yes, I was afraid that these days the only people I'm important to are the Viagra selling spam bots... not that I need any, mind you!

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Nice job Jeff!

At work, most of our email is bocked as spam.
