Anyone racing? I just got asked to crew on a boat. Never participated in this event. Should be fun!

It's a blast. Not very serious but that's why the bulk of us love it! It's the unofficial start of summer around here. I've only missed it once in 11 years.

Make sure you catch it all: fri night at the HYC - party it up and then walk into town for dinner; the tent party on Nantucket Sat night, the joke tent on sunday and the great general boating "scene" in the boat basin.

One thing is guaranteed. 25 knots at the start dying to zip halfway across the sound.

Are you in the spin class?

Not sure. A friend just just contacted me saying they lost their trimmer and needed crew. So other than my friend I don't know the others or the boat. But from the make of the boat I don't think so. Have fun!

Amazing how often it is 20+ at the start, although I can remember some races where it has stayed that way. I am scheduled to go but discovered last night that my jib has a rip in it. Hoping to get a band-aid on it in time to go. Should be a wet ride from Newport to Hyannis on Friday. But always a fun race and weekend.
