G30 portlight replacement

Hello all,

I'm the proud new owner of a '73 Grampian G30 with original portlights badly in need of replacement. I would like to contact someone who had done this job who could provide advice.

Thanks !

There are some articles there about replacing the portlights, and advice on where to get the necessary part.
Great boat - you will love her.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcome. After reading all the advice I could, I decided to wait until warmer weather to replace the portlights. Apparently, thermal expansion is an issue. It sealled with duct tape for now.

I look forward to participating with this group. I'm back into sailing after a number of years. This is a new boat for me and in a new part of the country.

I've got a lot to learn, but I'm eager to get started.

Yours,

Steve.
