Gulfstar 50CSY - the CSY part

I need some help trying to understand the CSY relationship with Gulfstar. The way I am putting all the pieces together from what I have read is that there were a few models that Gulfstar built for CSY and the charter market. Is this correct? If so, was the quality any different?

From what I saw when I was looking at them, the answer is yes and yes. The CSY yachts were for charter and had cheaper finish out. I don't know about other stuff (e.g. structural, rigging, etc.) - but I'm willing to bet it was lower-end as well.

The Hirsch boats were the "higher end" - with lots more interior wood, etc.

That's about all I know. Some guys around here can give you lots more info.
