Mildew on the cabin overhead
Mostly done cleaning the interior of our Helms 25. Had some unrelated issues that pulled us away from our rebuilding for awhile, but now getting geared up for some serious work.
Cabin roof inside is textured enough that a cleaning cloth doesn't do a good job. Quite a lot of mildew there because of the core being wet for awhile. Have a plan for correction of that, but need to get the mildew off. Any suggestions as to safe solutions to use - I don't handle bleach or ammonia very well. Will vinegar solution, or baking soda, be a good thing to try first.
Our 45 foot Starratt had very few problems with mildew because we ventilated her well when we were building.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Do some searches here, you'll find lots of good information. Vinegar works well, as does Tea Tree Oil. What I found works very well is to wipe down with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to knock down most of it, then hit it with the vinegar to change the pH enough that the buggers can't grow back.
