I just purchased a 1980 Helms 27 with a bad 15 HP OMC Zepher. I am told the engine ran last year but now water is blowing out of the lower cylinder. I have removed the engine and I am in the process of hanging an outboard on her. I believe the rest of the engine and parts are still in good shape.

If I lived closer to you I would take you up on that. You probably could have fixed that problem with a gasket. If you don't get any interest here, yahoo has a saildrive owner's group you could try posting on. Someone there will want it.
