Reapir blues

Have a 1980 Hunter 30'--new to sailboats--Jib Furling CDI with bent torque links and extrusion--attempting to re-install correctly--w/o bending it as the previous owner did by impacting an object near the masthead--sails repaired and ready 2 go--need info on how to raise jib furling w/o problems unforseen.
Thanx in advance.
