swing keel 1998 Hunter 240
this is a friends boat, the keel appears NOT to deploy straight down, only at an angle, the line to raise/lower it seems too big and is difficult to use, I suspect we may have to put it up on a sling to figure whats wrong. He bought it after it had been shrinkwrapped and not used for 3 years.
Thoughts? Observations? I sail an old 1967 Cal 30 and did have an old 1991 Macgregor swing keel but the Hunter is nothing like either.
