Pearson 30

Brand new to sailnet and to sailing...Im in SW Florida and About 4 weeks ago bought a 69 pearson 30. I live aboard in what I think is a cool little has 4 reasteraunt/bars good
laundry and showers and a pool for under 500, whats a guy need. The only downside is its 3 hrs. to get to open ocean. So if I want to sail for 3 hrs......long day. Ive done it twice. Lots of fun no problems, which is surprising considering im single handing it with 0 experience...just lots of reading................well thats me......good to be here

Re: Pearson 30

I am kind of in the same situation. I am in Jax and will be mooring in the St John's river. It would take me at least 3 hrs to get to the ocean but I think I will have just as much fun in the river for now. I have a swing keel Chrysler 22 so I am kind of hesitant to take it in the ocean anyways I look forward to hearing your stories.

Welcome. That's great that you're already single handing!

I thought long about getting a Pearson. Nice lines.
