New to sailing and liveaboard
We are finally on the way to make this dream come true.
Kids are off on their own, the house is rented out and the small apt we were living in is near empty. Our moving sale was a success, so there won't be much to go into storage besides my motorcycles and tools ... those are a "MUST have".
We drive a truck over the road for a living, so we are quite used to living in small spaces. In fact 30-32' boats we've been looking at are bigger than our truck's sleeper.
Our typical schedule keeps us out 6-8 weeks at a time and gets us home for a week or two. In the last few years we averaged 10-12 weeks off.
We are looking for a 30-34' sailboat along Florida's Gulf Coast and plan on docking and living in a marina in Tampa Bay area and learning to sail.
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
