Wink New to Sailing, Knot New to Water

Hello All, Sir Charles here;

My wife and I just purchased a 1980 33' Hunter Sloop Chirabini from a friend in Stuart, FL. We will dock it in Jacksonville, FL. We will initially sail the St. Johns River and the ICW, but we are already plaaning a summer in the Bahama's.

I am possibly looking for a sailing partner for the 18th of October (2013) to assist me to sail the boat from St. Augstine, FL to Jacksonville, FL. Anyone interested, please send your information.

Re: New to Sailing, Knot New to Water

Welcome! I thought I had read that the 33's actually weren't designed by Cherubini. They were made by Hunter during his tenure there, and while he did design the 30 and a few other boats, he wasn't involved in the 33. John Cherubini's office is close to where I grew up, so I was intrigued. At this point, though, it's been nearly a year since I did the research and I may be off.

Anyway...welcome!!! We need pics of the boat, BTW!
