introduction

I recently picked up a 24' windrose sailboat, this is the 1st time and sailboat I have stepped in or on. Its been a large learning curve, I'm in the process of making a aluminum rudder. I changed the axle, springs, tires, and bought new tires. Trailer tongue was bent, so cut it out, made new one a foot longer and added outboard motor holder & spair tire holder. Still have to change all the ropes for the rigging. When I picked up the boat, it had no sails, so I'm on the hunt for a nice used main and jib sails for a laguna windrose 24. My nefew and I are trying to get in the water this month, either in Lake Authur or Vermillion Bay, Louisiana. Any help would be appreciated!!!
Thank You

BL,

Welcome to the asylum!

Quiz question: How many ropes on a sailboat? Answer: NONE! They're all "lines". The exception is the bell rope if you have a bell. So, you're all sailored up now. Do a search for used sails. I've seen a number of chandleries that sell used sails at very reasonable rates.
Good luck on the launch. I know how exciting and nerve wracking it is. You'll do great!

Fair winds and fairer deals!

Don

Welcome to the dark side...we have cookies and wine. Some of us are fresh and some are seasoned, but we are all here to help each other and learn. ( and play with each other as well) so don't be shy and hang in there. No matter what happens it will be an amazing ride.
