It is Pinyin - the way foreigners learn Cantonese or Mandarin without having to memorize the characters.

Might be saying: "Hello, you do not need to be polite."

Yes, James is correct. It is my version on Pinyin. I have my own phonetic code so my Pinyin is often not totally accurate. My phonetic code works for me.
