Smile Hi Everyone!

I have been reading these forums for some time now and finally decided to join up! My wife and I are 25 years old and we have a 2 year old son. All three of us love to sail. I have been in and around (mainly behind) boats my whole life i was a nationally competitive waterskier as a child. Then 5 years ago i bought a pintail 14 dinghy and started sailing. My wife and i fell in love and learned all we could about it. 2 years ago we bought a Catalina 27 which i lived on part time for a few months last winter while i did bottom jobs at the local marina. I am a marine mechanic and in these parts (Lake Guntersville AL) the mechanic works slows down in the winter. We love to cruise tremendously overpowered at times (yes the wife loves it too) lol. But we also love to race. We have just started flying the tri- radial spinnaker but really need more crew for that so we dont get to often. Being a mechanic the last thing i want to hear is that noisy 2 stroke so the only time it gets run is when we have found bottom! We sail on a large lake with mountains around but would really like to go to the gulf and learn to deal with tides and seas larger than 2-3 ft maybe Mobile Bay to start with. Any questions just ask. Maybe i can be as helpful as a lot of you have been to me in the past!
