Hi all. I'm a new member, and somewhat new to sailing. I've been doing it about a year. I don't own a boat, but I'm a member at Key West Community Sailing Center, and the biggest thing I have experience on is a 19' O'Day Daysailer.

In April, I'll be moving to Baltimore for my twilight tour (for the non-military folks, that's my last tour before retirement), and in about another 13 years, I intend to have my own liveaboard and sail all over the world. Right now, my plan includes two government pensions that will total about $5k per month for a cruising budget.

Re: New member

CG, welcome to sailnet and as stated earlier thank you for stepping up and serving. This is a great site to learn and glean information from, lurk the threads, read, learn, ask questions, there's always someone willing to help out.

Re: New member

welcome to sail net.
We never stop learning but speaking to others makes it easier.
Never be afraid to ask a question you think is stupid. I am really good at asking them but at least I now know the answer, or 37 different answers to each question.
