New boat/new member

We just bought a 1996 Beneteau 281 that we will be keeping on Lake Lanier, GA.

Previously we sailed an 84 S2 6.9 on the lake (it's for sale), so increased averall 6'!

Thanks!

Re: New boat/new member

Welcome and congratulations! How is the sailing on Lanier? I've always like the Atlanta area.

Re: New boat/new member

The sailing on Lanier is quite good for an inland lake. While it is really crowded in the summer with the powerboat crowd, past Labor Day the hordes clear out, the wind freshens up, it gets cooler and we can sail all winter. That's when the best winds happen. There is a big community of sailors on the lake too, so lots of racing and cruising options.

Cheers!
