New To Forum

Hello, we are new the Sailnet forum. We sail a 34 foot Gemini Cat, model 3400.

In two weeks we will be moving our boat from Palmetto, Fl to Indian Harbor Beach, FL (just north of Melbourne, FL). We are planning to cross the Okeechobee, as our boat draws less than 2 feet (boards up). On our sail down the Florida west coast, we may have an opportunity to sail offshore if the weather cooperates. Are there any West Coast inlets that should be avoided??? Additionally, marina recommendations around Venice, Pine Island, and Fort Meyers would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rich and Beth

Welcome aboard Rich and Beth. Only marina I've stayed at along there is the Crow's Nest at Venice. It's right at the inlet. Enjoy your trip.

The moorings in Ft. Myers beach are reasonable and good. Also the Cape Coral Muni Marina is nice and reasonable.
Welcome and good luck with the trip.
