Leland is on a distinguished road
Hello!

I bought an oday 23 last summer and have loved every minute of it. A friend and I bought the boat, read a book and took it out. I am young (20) and I am constantly trying to learn more and would love feedback of all sorts in the future. Read a couple more books now and have been on probably a dozen day sails so I still have a lot more to learn. I sail out of Avila Beach CA so far but looking at taking this thing for some little coastal cruises this summer!

Welcome Leland!

Please post pictures of your boat. You will need 10 posts to do that. This is an appropriate thread to do so.

thank you all for the warm welcome. i am working on getting more posts up so i will be able to put some pictures up! In the mean time I have a question on threads. when you post a thread is there a place somewhere where it will notify you on any replies you receive or do you just need to check on the thread to see?

Welcome aboard Leland. You will be automatically subscribed to each thread that you have either started or contributed to. Those thread's titles, as they appear in the list of threads under each forum, will be highlighted in bold typeface if they contain unread replies. In addition, this icon - identifies the thread as one which you have made a post to.

I believe you can elect to have an email automatically notifying you of new posts to your subscribed threads as well. But, aside from receiving new PMs (personal messages), I have never activated that function.
