Arrrrrhhhh is right

I'm a landlocked Fairbanksan...400 miles from salt water. Did lots of sailing in my "deformative" years in the San Francisco Bay Area. Parents had a Danish Folkboat "Jenten II" which I understand is still under sail somewhere in Northern California.

Still have saltwater in me veins, though. Some day I WILL have another sailboat.

Thanks, mate! Actually I've thought of building myself a Viking ship and sailing it up the Chena River. 'Twould certainly raise a few eyebrows.

Scare the devil out of the monastaries along the way!

Ahhh the good old days.. when the earth was warm and the shallow bottom boats could take on those funny people in (present day) Ireland, England, Germany, France, Russia... and.. and.. and.....good deep rivers we had....

(Note: I am of Irish and German descent...but Vikings kick ass...)

Actually, I'm a bona fide descendent of Leif Eriksson. He had to descend REAL FAR to get to me...but here I am, nevertheless.
