Getting ready to go

My husband has been using this site for years but now we are finally buying our boat to take cruising and I'm ramping up my information searches. We are a family of 4 (children aged 7 and 9) and are buying a Catana 431. We have been planning this trip for over 16 years - saving $, reading, saving $, short Caribbean charters, saving $, preparing the kids (at least once a day I get a question preceded by "when we live on the boat......"). We plan on leaving in a little over a year for an undetermined number of years. We'll see how it goes and how long the money lasts. After buying this boat, there is a lot less to go around. We would love any bit of advise especially from cruisers with children.
