Which email list are you trying join? If it have web site, there are usually subscription instructions. Some software registration sites have opt-in / out forms.

no, what I meant is (sorry for being unclear) I want to join the listserv for seafarer boats operated by sailnet. When I search google, I can find an archived listserv but, I can't figure out how to join.

The mail lists were disbanded and discontinued several months ago.
There is a seafarer heading in boat builders row on this forum...but no one has yet posted there.
