Landlocked Sailor

hi all

My name is Nick and my boat is Blue Moon- a beautiful (to me!) C&C 29 Mk 1. I live in Alberta Canada, but keep the Moon out on the coast on Vancouver Island. Glad to be here- connect with other sailors (maybe only 2 more in my town) and learn some stuff about boat ownership. I've done lots of racing and sailing over the years but owning a boat bigger than a laser has been a pretty new thing for me.

Cheers

Nick

Welcome to Sailnet Nick. So how far away from your boat are you? When spring arrives will you be sailing weekends?

Anyhow, welcome to Sailnet.

Ahoy...MGM

I'm about 1000 km- 12 hour drive or 90 minute flight. The boat is 10 minutes from Victoria Airport so guess what's the preferred method... Anyway, that said if everybody is going (the 5 of us) we drive. I'll be heading out with my wife and youngest for Easter weekend then probably not until summer. I get great holiday time so I'll probably spend 3 weeks or month on her this summer. Hoping thats the plan anyway...

Cheers (and thanks for the welcome)

Nick
